Originally from the beautiful state of Washington, I am a master's student in my final semester at Oklahoma State University.
My research centers around the use of a novel sampling method ("Centipede Nets") to better understand the fish community within mangrove habitats, with a case study in the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica.

I am interested in less-studied species that share habitats with commercially and recreationally targeted fish, as well as a broader ecological approach to fisheries management. With experience as a professional photographer and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, I am always looking for opportunities to combine science, photography, and Spanish.
